Our project, developed in 2023, captures Mirail residents' emotions and perceptions of the university space, reflecting on its significance in the visionary "Mirail New town" project of the 1960s. Through silver photography, we reveal intimate narratives of the university as a sanctuary of social exchange and cultural diversity, inviting reflection and fostering collaborative artistic endeavors for a future of mutual understanding.

Our project, "Behind the scenes" is an exciting exploration of the hidden aspects of our everyday surroundings. Through the lens of our Master Art&Com students from University Jean-Jaurès, Toulouse, we uncover the beauty and intrigue that often go unnoticed. Guided by our curator, Delphine Fabro, we're presenting a fresh perspective on perception and representation. This exhibition at Centre Culturel Henri Desbals is not just about showcasing photography; it's an invitation to see the world around us in a whole new light and engage in meaningful conversations about how we perceive our environment.

The "Frozen" project captures the essence of life in Bou Saada, Algeria, through a series of evocative portraits and cityscapes. It explores the intersection of urbanism, culture, and human emotion, inviting viewers to contemplate the delicate balance between past and future. As both a photographer and a geographer, my work offers a unique perspective on the city's landscapes and inhabitants, blending documentary storytelling with artistic expression. Through "Frozen," I aim to convey the spirit of Bou Saada and ignite conversations about perception and representation.

"Raw" intertwines urban textures with the faces of Algerian youth, portraying the juxtaposition of hope and frustration against the backdrop of city walls. Through documentary photography, the project delves into societal barriers and the struggle for dreams in a complex Algerian landscape. With an engaged and social approach, "Raw" reflects on the uncertain future and challenges facing modern Algerian society, capturing the essence of both human resilience and urban decay.

"In My Bubble" captures the intimate fragments of a lonely and depressive man's home, portraying the gloomy atmosphere and spirit of isolation. This documentary photographic project delves into introspection and societal themes, offering a poignant exploration of loneliness and disconnection in Algerian society. Through a social and semiotic lens, the series reflects on the challenges faced by the new generation, grappling with taboos and isolation in a changing world.

The work is part of the "Une Solitude bleue" series by Leila Bakouche. A photographic translation of the book "The Labyrinth of Solitude" by the Mexican writer Octavio Paz. A visual expression of solitude, reflection and man's place in society.
