I’m Diego Garnica, a multidisciplinary artist born in the magical mountains of the Colombian Andes. My work is deeply rooted in the exploration and celebration of the ancestral legacy of Colombia’s Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities, a boundless cultural richness that has shaped my life and creative journey.

For years, I’ve dedicated myself to telling stories that transmit this legacy to the world through multiple perspectives: music, visual arts, social, and academic. Music is the heartbeat of my work. As a producer and musician, I specialize in Afro-Colombian rhythms, using sound to bridge cultures and generations. 

I play the Colombian gaita (a traditional flute known as “Kuisi” in Indigenous language) and traditional drums, bringing these ancestral instruments to life in my Live Set ioMüsyk. This performance is a musical journey where I fuse traditional instruments and voices Live with digital beats, telling stories of Africa and Latinamerica, in a way that resonates with modern audiences.

Currently, I’m immersed in the production of the second Album of my band, La Rueda @larueda.live. The first two singles are already available on all digital platforms. My first album “El Indio Conakry” was published in 2019.
