Quick Facts:

My name is Christopher Nelson Obuh. I am a photographer and a visual artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. I work with photography and video to tell stories of positive social change. I have always wanted to be a storyteller to highlight environmental issues, social issues and stories of people who have dedicated their lives fixing problems. Photography became that vehicle for me. I have documented the Asaba Massacre where over two thousand men were killed unjustly during the Nigerian civil war in a small town called Asaba on the west bank of the Niger river. I have also documented The ‘END SARS’ protest where young people came together to protest against police brutality in Lagos Nigeria and the ‘EKO ATLANTIC PROJECT’, where some portion of the Atlantic Ocean was reclaimed and this megacity was built at the detriment of neighbouring communities.
