In my last project called Antena-Oca (Hollow-Antenna), developed during the residency City as a Forest, I created an antenna inspired by the Embaúba Tree (a native Brazilian one), to listen to inaudible natural frequencies of the forest and the city.

Quick Facts:

I am a transdisciplinary sound artist engaged with analog electronics, antenna design, and interactive experimentations. My work spans sound installations, audiovisual performances, videos and radio art, that invite sensory engagement. Drawing on nature, cosmology, and fractal forms, I build custom antennas to reveal electromagnetic frequencies, transforming them into sonic and visual experiences, to question colonial legacies that separate humans from nature.

Over the last decade, I have exhibited and performed at festivals, radio stations and museums such as: New Frequencies Festival (Rio de Janeiro, 2019), Sonic Matter Festival (Zürich, 2021), Museum of Tomorrow (Rio de Janeiro, 2022), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin, 2023), Toda La Teoría Del Universo (Concepción, 2024), Poesía En Voz Alta - Casa del Lago UNAM (Mexico City, 2024), Deutschlandfunk Radio (Germany, 2024), and CTM Festival (Berlin, 2025). I have also participated in various international residencies, including CTM Music Makers Hacklab (Berlin, 2019), City as Forest (Rio de Janeiro, 2022), Radio Art Residency (Weimar, 2023), Oceánica by Tsonami Arte Sonoro + Líquen Lab (Punta Arenas, 2024), and Sound Art Lab (Struer, 2024).

I hold a Master's degree in Music (Sonology) from the University of São Paulo (2022) and am currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Media Arts at the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln in Cologne, Germany.

BELLA no Escuta!

The object contains gove (soul). Life is not contained.
Therefore, the dust of the dead inside a vase is then blown out.
Life is returned to the ashes.
Here, what is contained is sound.
And it leaks out.
With its microphonies, and displacements in the air, sound is leaking its life.
Its form is not contained, and it disperses, amplifies itself.
Sound as living matter.

Light Load

In light load, the antenna loaded to the top of the mountain picks up the inaudible waves flowing from the large electrical distribution antenna. We also hear the swirling motion of wind energy, along with the chime of the cows. The cows are outside the field of view, but they also complement the soundscape. So there are three layers/levels of energy being produced and captured: the eolian, the electric, and the gaseous. The listening in this work inverts the logic of time: we are caught up in stillness, and contemplation rather than acting as producers of another energy layer.

UN

Created by visual and experimental sound artist Bella, "UN" is a performance that investigates the vibratory effects of sound waves on liquid surfaces. A light source runs through the container with water, decomposes vibrations and projects an enigmatic haunting phantasmagoria onto a wall. "UN" traces a net of elements involving sound, image, technique, science, music, cinema, performance. The short film was recorded at Fábrica Bhering and directed by Sergio Mekler and produced by QTV label.
