ABOUT TANZHAUS ZÜRICH
Tanzhaus Zürich is the most important production house for contemporary dance in Zurich. It supports dancers and choreographers through every phase of their work: thinking, rehearsing, producing, showing and moving forward. It focuses on long-term relationships, foster emerging talent, and work closely with the local scene.
ABOUT SÉVELIN 36 LAUSANNE
Sévelin 36 is a unique venue in Lausanne entirely dedicated to dance and contemporary choreographic cultures. It is a place to create, share and practice dance, welcoming artists, audiences and audacious performances from the field. Sévelin 36’s activities take place in three distinct spaces: the Théâtre Sévelin 36 and two dance studios, Annexe 36 and Mini Annexe.

YOUR PROFILE
The internship at Tanzhaus Zürich & Sévelin 36 Lausanne is open for artists with migration experience who recently moved to Switzerland and who:
- are interested in understanding how contemporary performing arts organisations work from the inside.
- would like to develop their professional network and establish connections with cultural organisations and practitioners in Switzerland.
- are interested in the organisational, production and festival-making aspects of the performing arts.
- are curious about different institutional contexts and working methods.
Please note that basic knowledge of at least one of the following languages is mandatory for all applicants: English / French.

This internship offers: The opportunity to spend time within both organisations and gain first-hand insight into their artistic, organisational and production practices, observing and engaging with the everyday work of the two institutions while establishing new connections within the network.
At Sévelin 36, the selected artist will actively participate in the implementation of the festival Les Printemps de Sévelin and support the team during the festival period
The grant includes: accommodation (when needed) & professional supervising during 2 weeks in Zürich and 3 weeks in Lausanne, per diems and travel expenses in Switzerland during the residency time.
